# Connecting infrastructure

Connect the cloud and identity providers that describe your environment. Antigen uses their read-only data to build your Asset Map.

## Connect a provider

Open [Integrations](https://antigen.sh/integrations) in the platform. Select a provider and follow its connection flow. Start with the providers that host your applications, manage identities, or expose your services.

Each provider adds a different part of your environment. AWS adds compute, storage, networking, and IAM configuration. Identity providers add authentication flows and permission structures. Deployment platforms add domains, deployments, and service relationships.

## What Antigen discovers

After you connect a provider, Antigen adds its assets and relationships to the Asset Map. The map gives your team a current view of your infrastructure and gives Antigen context for security testing.

You can connect providers over time. Each connection adds context to the same Asset Map.

## Read-only access

Asset Map integrations only read your infrastructure. Antigen does not modify your cloud resources, identities, or service configuration.
