Connect Jira Cloud to track human tasks as issues in your team’s project. Each issue is assigned to a person and contains the agent’s request, relevant vulnerability, and instructions.

Access required

Authorize access to the Jira site and project where tasks should appear. The integration needs to read project members, create and update issues, assign people, and exchange comments. The authorizing account must have the corresponding project permissions. Jira’s OAuth permissions do not override restrictions on the account or project.

Connect Jira

  1. Open Settings → Integrations → Jira.
  2. Select Connect and sign in to Atlassian.
  3. Select your Jira Cloud site and approve the requested access.
  4. Choose the project and issue type for human tasks.
  5. Configure any fields required by that project’s issue workflow.
The people receiving tasks must be assignable in the selected project.

Complete a request

Carry out the requested action, add the relevant details in a comment, and move the issue to the completed state used by your project. The agent uses that update to continue. For example, a task may ask your team to change a cloud configuration. Review the recommendation, make the change, and describe it in the issue before marking the work done. If a connected integration can detect the requested action, the task and issue update automatically. See Issue tracking for automatic completion and how tasks relate to vulnerability statuses.

Troubleshooting

An issue cannot be created

Check the selected project, issue type, required fields, and the authorizing account’s permission to create issues.

An issue cannot be assigned or completed

Check that the recipient is an eligible assignee. For completion, confirm that the integration has permission to perform the required workflow transition and can supply any fields that transition requires.
