Connect Microsoft Teams so agents can send human tasks to the assigned person in a private chat. Each message includes what the agent needs, the relevant vulnerability, and instructions for responding.

Access required

Your organization must allow the Antigen app in Teams. The app needs to be installed for people who receive tasks so it can start a conversation with them. Your Teams administrator can make the app available and deploy it to those users. This follows Microsoft’s requirements for proactive messages.

Connect Microsoft Teams

  1. Open Settings → Integrations → Microsoft Teams.
  2. Select Connect and sign in with your Microsoft work account.
  3. Choose the organization and approve the requested access. If administrator approval is required, have your administrator complete it.
  4. Install the Antigen app in Teams for the people who will receive tasks.
The connected Microsoft organization should contain the accounts your team uses in Teams.

Respond to a task

Open the task’s conversation with Antigen and reply to provide information or confirm that the requested work is done. You can also ask questions or explain why you cannot proceed. For example, after making a requested infrastructure change, describe what you changed in the conversation. The agent uses your response to continue its work. A task can also complete when a connected integration detects the requested action, such as a GitHub pull request being merged. See Messaging for how this works.

Use Teams with an issue tracker

If you also connect an issue tracker, the person receives a private message and an assigned issue for the same task. Updates through either tool stay associated with that task.

Troubleshooting

A person does not receive a task

Check that the Antigen app is installed for that person and allowed by your organization’s Teams app policies. Confirm that their account belongs to the connected Microsoft organization.

Installation requires approval

Ask your Teams administrator to approve the app and its requested access, then complete the connection in Antigen.
